1. Scope of Services
Holidaystraveller.com curates bespoke private travel circuits, assigns dedicated mountain vehicles, and facilitates state tourism permits for the Eastern Himalayan territories of West Bengal (Darjeeling, Kurseong, Kalimpong, Mirik) and Sikkim (Gangtok, Nathula Pass, Lachung, Lachen, Pelling).
2. Itinerary Pacing & Mountain Realities
Mountain roads are subject to unforeseen geological, weather, and administrative conditions. Landslides, road repairs, heavy snowfall, and military convoy movements may necessitate route alterations. Our driver-guides and coordinators hold operational authority to adjust route timing to preserve passenger safety.
3. Protected Area Permits (Nathula Pass & North Sikkim)
Permits for Nathula Pass are issued solely at the discretion of the Tourism and Civil Aviation Department of Sikkim and the Indian Army. While Holidaystraveller facilitates document submission with diligence, permit approval is subject to quota limitations, national security closures, and weather clearance. In the event Nathula Pass is closed by army order, vehicle transit is executed up to the maximum permitted checkpoint (typically Tsomgo Lake or 15th Mile).
4. Traveler Responsibilities
Travelers are responsible for carrying original government identification (Voter ID, Passport, or Driving License) throughout the journey, adhering to high-altitude medical guidelines, and respecting regional environmental ordinances (Sikkim is a strictly plastic-restricted state).
