Editorial notice: Items marked [NEEDS APPROVAL] are awaiting business confirmation. Your written quote and confirmation email state the exact terms that apply to your booking.

1. Payments

All prices are quoted in Indian Rupees (INR) after we agree a written itinerary. Every quote lists the vehicle, accommodation, permit fees and applicable taxes separately, and states what is not included.

  • To confirm a booking: an advance of [NEEDS APPROVAL: % of trip cost] once you approve the itinerary in writing.
  • Balance: due [NEEDS APPROVAL: e.g. X days before arrival / on arrival].
  • Peak dates: hotels around Durga Puja, Diwali, Christmas and New Year often require full prepayment. If so, we tell you when we quote.
  • Accepted methods: [NEEDS APPROVAL: e.g. UPI, bank transfer (NEFT/IMPS), cards, and any card surcharge]
  • We send a written receipt for every payment.

2. Paying safely

Travel booking fraud is common. Protect yourself:

  • Before your first transfer, call us on +91 8292907534 to confirm the payee name and account details.
  • We will never ask you to pay into a personal account or change account details by message alone.
  • If anything about a payment request feels wrong, stop and call us first.

3. Cancellation by you

Please cancel in writing by email or WhatsApp. The date we receive it is the cancellation date. Charges reflect the hotel and vehicle commitments made for you.

When you cancel Cancellation charge
30 days or more before arrival Advance refunded, less an administrative processing charge [NEEDS APPROVAL: 5% or 10%]
15 to 29 days before arrival 50% of the advance retained to cover non-refundable lodge holds
14 days or less before arrival 100% of the advance retained for reserved vehicles and seasonal lodges
  • Government permit fees are set by the issuing authority. Once a permit has been issued, the fee usually cannot be recovered.
  • Flights and trains you booked yourself are subject to the carrier's own rules.
  • No-shows and trips cut short by the traveller: [NEEDS APPROVAL: refund treatment]

4. Closures and force majeure

Nathula Pass, Tsomgo Lake and North Sikkim can be closed by the Indian Army, the Border Roads Organisation (BRO) or the district administration because of snow, landslides or security alerts, sometimes on the morning of travel. These decisions are outside our control. When it happens:

  • We arrange an alternative of comparable value the same day, such as a South or West Sikkim circuit, Rumtek or a Darjeeling-side excursion.
  • Unused permit fees and high-altitude vehicle supplements are refunded or credited towards the alternative.
  • Extra costs caused by a closure, such as an additional night, are explained and agreed with you before they are incurred.

5. Changes on the road

You can ask to change your plan at any time. We will tell you whether it is possible and what it costs before making the change.

6. Refunds

Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method within [NEEDS APPROVAL: 7 to 10 working days]. For any booking change, call your coordinator on +91 8292907534.
